ROBERT L BASS, O.D.,FAAO
Dr. Bass is a proud 1978 alumnus from the College of William and Mary, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He graduated with honors from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1982. At Southern, he was accepted into Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society and achieved membership in Sigma Alpha Sigma, the college's Optometric Honor Society. In 1986, Dr. Bass became a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Bass has practiced optometry in the same location in Manassas, Virginia since graduation. He is a member and former president of the Battlefield Optometric Society, a member and President of the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Optometric Association, and served 10 years on the board of directors for Vision Service Plan, the largest vision insurance company in the United States. In addition, he is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Southern Council of Optometrists, and the Virginia Academy of Optometry. An accomplished professional, Dr. Bass is also an avid fisherman and a dedicated family man. He lives in the city of Manassas with his wife and two daughters. He is active in several community organizations and is a member and former president of the Manassas Host Lions Club. |
SHERYL BASS
Sheryl, a 1978 graduate of the College of William and Mary and Dr. Bass's wife, has been worked in our office since 1982. She oversaw the accounts receivable, monthly appointment reminders, personnel details and general office management. Sheryl also helped in frame selection and contact lens handling.
