The Virginia Academy of Optometry Facts

• Was formed for the advancement of the Optometrists in Virginia and the Profession
• Has approximately 100 Fellows from all over the state  
• All Fellows are required to be members of the Virginia Optometric Association
• Has always been by invite only (but invitation can come from request)
• Fellows are required to give a one hour continuing education presentation 
• Fellows must attend one of 3 meetings per year (some are virtual)
• We hold our Annual Conference in Fredericksburg yearly
