Annual eye check-ups not only allow our eye doctors to improve the quality of your vision by changing the prescription of your glasses or contact lenses, but also provide the opportunity to determine the overall health of your eye. We pride ourselves in keeping up with the latest developments in vision correction and eye health treatments. Retinal digital imaging: Our doctors highly recommend that you have a Dilated Retinal Exam and Retinal Digital Imaging. This medical technology can be utilized to analyze and evaluate the internal health of your eyes and to detect early signs of eye disease as well as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. Eyewear comfort / style / technology: Our frame style consultants will guide you in your selection from our eyewear collection. Our fashionable frames are the technological achievement of ultra-tech metals and rich plastics all fashioned into modern stylish eyewear. In your pursuit of eyewear perfection, we offer Freeform series of lenses that utilizes state-of-the-art lens processing equipment and advanced digital lenses designs to deliver the most precisely crafted prescriptions possible. This technology allows us to create a personal customized lens with expanded vision zones, precision optical power and the most elegant lens shape. Whichever lens designs you select we will quality craft your spectacle lenses utilizing the most modern materials from the leading manufacturers of lenses worldwide. Contact lenses comfort / clarity / technology: Drs. Bass and Rose specialize in the fitting of new contact lens designs which are available for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and difficulty seeing up close. We fit daily, two week and monthly replacement contact lenses in either single vision or bifocal. Children's eyecare: Kids are important to us! Our doctors have kids and enjoy working with children. They will take the extra time to perform the tests necessary for a thorough eye examination. Dr. Rose can even help with many learning disabilities or other school related vision problems. Cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration: These are a few of the eye diseases that our doctors diagnose, follow and treat on a regular basis. Dr. Bass and Rose work with some of the top specialists in Northern Virginia to manage and co-manage eye health and systemic diseases. Diabetic eyecare: Diabetic patients require an annual eye exam to prevent the leading cause of vision loss, diabetic retinopathy. By having our doctors monitor your eye health he can help to prevent a vision problem from turning into a vision loss. Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion: Concussions can wreak havoc on the visual system that fuses images and the visual system responsible for focusing on objects. When affected this can cause double vision, motion sensitivity, troubles with reading, and problems with the activities of daily life. With special glasses and therapy these problems can be controlled and corrected. |
